Art Auction

Browse through a grand collection of fabulous art pieces, donated by local and regional artists, and participate in a silent auction; have fun outbidding the next person for that “must have” piece in a live auction; and enjoy scrumptious hors d’oeuvres and beverages in a relaxed environment with music provided by accomplished musicians. The event takes place at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, at St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral in Downtown Jacksonville.

St. John’s Cathedral’s identity as a church…“in the heart of the city, with the city in its heart”…leads its clergy and members to continue a strong tradition of outreach ministry, locally and globally. The Cathedral Choir of St. John’s Cathedral will be the choir-in-residence at Ely Cathedral in England from July 12 to July 18. During this seven day period, the choir will participate in daily services, leading in worship for multiple services, including daily Evensong, Morning Prayer, and Sunday morning Holy Eucharist. Art and Music in the Hall is a fundraising event for the forty-member group of musicians.

Local and regional artists have graciously donated their work to support the choir’s fundraising efforts. Art and Music in the Hall gives local residents who are not members of the church a unique opportunity to see this beautiful building while experiencing a world class arts experience designed to stimulate the senses at every level. The evening is designed to provide artwork at all price points so that everyone present will find something that they can bid upon.
