From I-10 East                                                                                                               

When approaching the I-10 / I-95 interchange, stay in the 2nd lane from the left to take I-95 North. Exit Union Street. Turn right on Market Street. Turn right on Ashley Street and park in the lot at Market & Ashley Streets. There are also (2 hour) free parking spots along the street around the church. Parking is also available at Diocesan House which is located on the South Side of the church on Market Street. (St. John's sits in the middle of Market Street.)

From the south via I-95

Travel I-95 northbound (not I-295) and look for "downtown" signs. Take Exit 305 A for the Main St. Bridge, taking care to get into the far right lane when you see signs for Exit 107 and for Main Street. After exiting the interstate, stay straight (not veering to the right for Prudential Dr.) onto Main St. Bridge, which is light blue and has tall towers. After crossing the bridge, stay straight, following the sign for Ocean Street. The fourth street you cross is Monroe. Turn right on Monroe. The third street you cross is Market. Turn left on Market and mid-block turn right into the parking lot of Diocesan House, which is a one story, concrete building. The Cathedral is across the street, at Market and Duval Streets. There are also (2 hour) free parking spots along the street around the church. Parking is also available on the North Side of the church in a lot bordered by Church, Market & Ashley Streets (enter lot from Ashley St.)

From the Beaches via Beach or Atlantic Boulevard

Go downtown by the Hart Bridge. As you are coming off the bridge, stay in the left lane. Follow the signs for the riverfront (not for M.L. King Pkwy.). The football stadium will be on your right as you pass it. Take the exit for Duval Street. This exit for Duval Street is on your right. At the foot of the exit ramp, stay straight on Duval. Turn right on Liberty Street. Turn left on Ashley Street. After crossing over Market Street, turn into the lot on the left. Enter lot from Ashley Street. There are also (2 hour) free parking spots along the street around the church. Parking is also available at Diocesan House which is located on the South Side of the church on Market Street. (St. John's sits in the middle of Market Street.)

From the Beaches via Atlantic Boulevard (near Regency Mall)

Take the Arlington Expressway downtown via the Matthews Bridge. Do not exit for M.L. King Pkwy. Do not exit for the sports complex. Stay straight following signs for "riverfront". As you begin to descend to ground level, get into the left lane. Cross over Liberty Street (which will be the first light) and turn left on Market Street. Turn right on Ashley St. and park in the lot on your immediate left. There are also (2 hour) free parking spots along the street around the church. Parking is also available at Diocesan House which is located on the South Side of the church on Market Street. (St. John's sits in the middle of Market Street.)

From Riverside

On Riverside Avenue, go toward downtown, past the YMCA on your right and past the Times-Union building on your right. Get into the left lane, following the sign for "Broad Street". Continue on Broad Street and cross Bay, Forsyth, Adams, Monroe and Duval Streets, and turn right on Church St. Continue on Church St. until you reach Market Street, where you see the Cathedral.  The Cathedral is at Market and Duval Streets.  There is parking to your left, or turn right and park on Duval Street.  There are (2 hour) free parking spots along the street around the church.

From the north coming south via I-95

Travel southbound on I-95 (do not exit for I-295). Stay on I-95 past the exits for M.L. King Pkwy., 8th Street and Kings Road. Take exit 117 for Union Street. This is a left exit off I-95. As you are exiting, get into the left lane and turn left at the bottom of the exit ramp. You are now on Union Street. Continue on Union Street and turn right on Market St. Turn right on Ashley St. and park in the lot on your immediate left. There are also (2 hour) free parking spots along the street around the church. Parking is also available at Diocesan House which is located on the South Side of the church on Market Street. (St. John's sits in the middle of Market Street.)
